WGS Magic Cat is a premium Quad Cortex preset designed to capture the boutique vibe and responsive feel of the Supro Black Magick and Sampson-era Bad Cat 30 amps. This preset features six scenes and a fully pre-programmed stomp mode, providing go-to tones for any part of your set:

Scenes

• Clean – Clear and round tone with plenty of warmth and sparkle. Perfect for picking or open chords.

• Stage 1 – Light edge-of-breakup tone with touch sensitivity and chime—ideal for verses or mellow choruses.

• Stage 2 – Medium-gain drive with rich mids and smooth highs. Works great for dynamic builds and hooks.

• Stage 3 – A saturated lead tone with focused mids and controlled sustain. Cuts through the mix without sounding harsh.

• Tape Mod – A unique, textured sound with subtle modulation and tape delay vibes. Great for intros and ambient swells.

• Swell – Cinematic ambient swell with deep reverb and a subtle reverse delay tail for movement and atmosphere.

Stomp Mode

The preset also includes a pre-programmed stomp layout for on-the-fly control:

• Brothers AM (Drive A) – Inspired by the Chase Bliss Brothers Analog Gainstage. A versatile drive/boost with a wide dynamic range. Perfect for adding grit or pushing other gain stages.

• Old Blue – Based on the Oneder Old Blue Overdrive, this is a chewy, harmonically rich drive with a slightly fuzzy texture. Amazing for broken-up chord work or fuzzy lead tones.

• Schaffer – Modeled after the SoloDallas Schaffer Replica, this boost adds harmonic complexity, compression, and presence—giving your signal that studio-polished push without sacrificing dynamics.

• Delay (Tape-Style) – Warm, tape-style delay with just enough modulation to widen the sound. Great for rhythm and lead work.

• Verb – Spacious hall reverb designed to blend seamlessly into your playing without getting in the way.
