WGS EG1 Rig

The WGS EG1 Rig was designed by Joe to sit naturally in the mix when needed while still delivering those soaring lead moments when it is time to shine. This is an addictive preset to play and works extremely well with a wide variety of guitars and pickup combinations.

Each scene is designed to be balanced for the different sections of a song where you may need it. Check out our song playthrough videos to hear exactly how this preset sits within a full mix.

Amp captures include the Morgan SW22 with an Eminence Alessandro 12" speaker and our Matchless DC30 CH2.

Feel free to customize the preset with your own drive and amp captures, but we think these combinations sound great right out of the box.

**WGS EG1 October 2026 Update**

Here are a list of some of the changes on WGS EG1 OCT 26.  In this version of the preset I have really enjoyed going back to the Ton King imperial MK2 capture I made back with version 1 capturing.  There was something about that amp that was just so great with my playing style and effects.  The goal will be to update this capture in V2 when we get access to the amp again.  Other changes are subtle but noticeable.  I backed off some of the low end response on the Nordic Hall verb to get it sitting better with dense mixes.  The main highlight here though is the new WGS CALI76 Compressor capture that is included.  This pedal makes everything sound better and I couldn't resist including it in this preset.  I needed to move back to a v1 capture of the Kilt (which I still love) to get the DSP to work.  The old version is still available to download, but this new one should also be a ton of fun.  Of course, version updates are free to EG1 owners.  Enjoy!
