I have spent years wishing I could use an amp like the Orange AD30 in a live context. This amp came up recently at a small local shop and thankfully I had the means to pick it up. I later found that it worked very well in a worship context. We had to capture this amp.
Our new approach to the Quad Cortex is to offer amp captures as flavors to add to existing presets. Each of our presets can be considered a base tone palette that you can augment with different amplifier and overdrive captures. It’s a great way to customize your sound and make it work with different guitars.
What we also found in making these captures is they would work great for the Nano Cortex. You can load in different stages of gain into 4 slots on the Nano Cortex and you now have 4 stages of gain that come straight from amp overdrive.
Capture pack comes with eight (8) captures of the Orange AD30 played through the same 4x12 V30 cabinet.

These captures are very well done and every option sounded usable right out of the box on my Nano Cortex. I would recommend using an EQ block after the capture just to tame some of the low end. Since the cab is baked in, You aren’t able to add your own IRs or one of the customizable ones from the Nano Cortex. That hasn’t been an issue for me because the 4x14 included in the captures sounds and feels great. Not boxy at all.
I popped this Ch1 Capture1 into Joes Preset just stock. I lowered the gain to -1.9 and it’s absolutely perfect! Great upgrade for Joes Preset!
